ABOUT RAINA HAUS DESIGNS
How it all started
I started sewing when I was 7. When I was 8, I made a dress to wear to Sask Fashion Week. I was so excited when the host Mr. Fabulous invited me on stage to show off my dress. Dean Renwick was in the crowd and invited me to intern with him that summer. When I was 9, I continued to take classes, sew some gowns, and show my work at elementary school talent shows. When I was 11, I started taking classes from Janis Procyk. I showed a collection at Sask Fashion Week and won the Emerging Designer Award. After that, I showed another collection at Dean Renwick's Gala. Then when I was 12, I showed my second collection at Sask Fashion Week and won the Emerging Designer Award for the second year. For 2020, there was no Sask Fashion Week, so I sewed a Covid-19-inspired dress for my grade 8 graduation. In 2021, I got my first official commission and made a grade 12 grad dress. Can't wait to see what 2022 brings!
